Island Food Van drives off with top environment award
A pioneering project on the Isle of Skye which distributes locally-grown, organic produce has scooped a top award.
The Skye & Lochalsh Food Link Van is set to drive away with the Scottish Water Award for Excellence in Environmental Sustainability at this week's SCDI Highlands & Islands Business Excellence Awards. The project was chosen by award sponsors Scottish Water to recognise the van's effort in reducing food miles and carbon emissions, and the part it plays in promoting locally-grown produce and healthy eating. More
